(WAFB) - Pell Grant money will be able to fund college courses year-round, including summer courses.
Thanks to a provision in the Federal Pell Grant Program, eligible students will be able to complete their degrees at a faster pace and utilize free time during the summer to stay on track for graduation. Previously, students could only receive the grants for fall and spring semesters.
Students wishing to access the funds must meet three criteria in addition to completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. In two related qualifications, students must both qualify for Pell Grants and maintain eligibility through satisfactory academic status. Students must also be enrolled at least half-time in the payment period and during the summer term.
Students wishing to apply should check with the Financial Aid Office at their school of choice to learn more.
