BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Structural engineers provided an update on the River Center Branch Library Monday, saying the building can now be accessed.
WHLC, the firm working on the library, says shoring towers were installed over the weekend and that the building can now be accessed. Light-duty construction work will now resume.
Engineers will provide documents to the contractor this week specifying any areas that need to be exposed through the removal of finish materials. They say this will allow for further observation and testing to make sure the library is sound.
