For the first time since 2010, the New Orleans Saints have selected an LSU Tiger.
With the 245th pick in the NFL Draft, the Saints picked up LSU offensive lineman Will Clapp.
The New Orleans native started for the last three years in Baton Rouge before declaring for the draft as a junior. Clapp received All-SEC first team honors in each of the last two seasons - the first Tiger offensive lineman to do so since Herman Johnson in 2007 and 2008.
Clapp started all 13 games at LSU this season, 11 of them at LG.
The last Tiger drafted to the Saints was defensive lineman Al Woods back in 2010. He was released before ever playing a game for the Saints.
Woods, a fourth-round pick, started all 16 games last season for the Indianapolis Colts.
