Picnic spotlights resources available to victims of violent crimes

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's office hosted the annual Crime Victims' Picnic on Saturday, April 28.

Organizations that provide resources to those who have been impacted by a violent crime were on hand to get the word out about the services they offer.

The event was originally scheduled to be held in conjunction with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. However, severe weather forced the event to be rescheduled.

The picnic was held at the Gus Young Park.
