Gonzales woman charged after fatal wreck that killed 5-year-old girl to be held without bond

ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) - The woman charged in connection with the death of a 5-year-old girl will be held without bond, officials with the 23rd Judicial District Court announced Friday.

Angela Gaudet, 31, of Gonzales, is being charged in connection with the death of Addysin Teekell, 5. Addysin, the daughter of a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office deputy, was killed in a car wreck that also injured several other people, including her sister.

Gaudet will remain incarcerated in the Ascension Parish Detention Center until her trial date.

Joey Gaudet, 35, also of Gonzales, was also charged in this incident. He's charged with obstruction of justice and injuring public records. He remains in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
