La. lawmakers consider pushing back LSU start times to reduce traffic

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Some Louisiana lawmakers are pushing for a resolution to help reduce Baton Rouge's traffic issues.

Some of the options include having LSU classes not start until 10 a.m., rotating work hours for city and state employees, and encouraging businesses to allow employees to work from home. The LSU Board of Supervisors, DOTD, and the Louisiana Workforce Commission will all collaborate to study and recommend effective alternatives.

The group has until March of 2019 to submit their final recommendations for possible legislation.
