BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

WAFB turned 65 on Thursday, April 19, and we asked you to share some of your favorite WAFB memories or station connections while growing up with us.

So this week's Your Turn segment goes to a Facebook friend of ours who joined many in wishing WAFB a happy 65th birthday.

Terry Pourciau Hanna - this is my Dad Clarence Pourciau- he went to work at WAFB in 1953-a few months before they went on air - he was the film editor back when everything was on reel - he retired in 1986 with 33 years of service- always loved visiting his film room! Happy Birthday WAFB!

The legacy that lives on is in each one of us and only possible because of you. We at WAFB will forever be grateful for you, our precious viewers. Your kindness, loyalty, trust, and commitment are the only reason we could ever stake the claim as Louisiana’s News Channel, your news channel.

That’s Terry’s Turn, now it’s your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, stop by our Facebook page or send us an email to YourTurn@wafb.com.
