BIRMINGHAM AL, (WVTM/CNN) - According to court documents, the lottery winner, identified only as "Jane Doe," claims public disclosure of her identity would constitute a potentially hazardous invasion of privacy.

Because of the threat of invasion of privacy, the woman is suing the state's lottery commission.

The woman admits she made a "huge mistake" when she signed her name on the back of the winning ticket, according to court documents.

She said she followed instructions from the New Hampshire state lottery commission's website and did so without the help of an attorney.

The funds have yet to be redeemed due to the lawsuit.
