BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A new program to certify authentic Louisiana products was launched Wednesday by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF).
The system, which was already in place, has new certified logo designs to help people recognize Louisiana's agricultural products.
"People want to know where their food comes from and many want to support local agricultural producers and locally owned businesses," said LDAF Commissioner Mike Strain.
LDAF said it recently made the eligibility requirements stricter.
The certified logos include: Certified Louisiana, Certified Cajun, Certified Creole and Certified Farm to Table.
