Above-normal rain chances are expected to continue for the next couple of days before a drier pattern finally arrives for the weekend. Wednesday's rain chances will run about 50%, with best chances of picking up a shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon hours. Highs will top out in the upper 80°s to near 90°.

Good rain chances, on the order of 50% to 60%, hold on for one more day on Thursday as an upper-air disturbance moves in from the west. And don't be surprised if the rains get an early start Thursday. By Friday and continuing into the weekend, high pressure will strengthen and begin to limit our rain chances.

As rain chances diminish, temperatures will climb, with highs likely to reach the low 90°s each day from Friday through the weekend. A fairly typical summertime pattern is expected for the early part of next week, with a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms and highs in the low 90°s.
