Neither Saturday or Sunday will be a washout, but rain is likely both days with a 60 percent coverage expected. We can't rule out morning or evening showers, but the vast majority of the rains will occur during the afternoon both days.

Afternoon highs will reach the low 90s early before temperatures settle in the 70s and 80s thanks to the abundant cloud cover and passing showers. Most neighborhoods will receive less than an inch of rain over the weekend.

A few localized spots though could receive as much as 2 to 3 inches, which could result in some standing water in poorly drained roads and land areas. There isn't much change to the forecast to start the new work/school week. Rain will remain likely through Tuesday.

By late Tuesday a cold front is forecast to approach the area. Both the GFS and Euro models forecast the front to pass the area, but the models disagree on how strong the front will be.

The GFS is drier and cooler while the Euro keeps temperatures closer to normal with a few showers to end the week. The First Alert forecast is somewhat of a blend of the two reliable long range models.
