Our active weather pattern will continue through the weekend and into the first half of next week. There's no singular feature leading to the stormy pattern, but abundant moisture that has moved in from the Gulf of Mexico will keep daily rain chances near 60% through next Tuesday. The good news is that no single day is expected to be a washout, but you'll definitely want to keep our First Alert Weather App handy if you have any outdoor plans.

Even with good rain chances, it stays steamy outside with highs near 90° and heat index values peaking in the 100°-105° range. Next week's rain chances get an added boost from a weak cold front approaching from the north.

It remains to be seen whether the front delivers some slightly cooler morning lows by the end of the week, but it is expected to bring some drier air, resulting in lower rain chances by Thursday and Friday.
