BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man has been arrested after reportedly shooting his aunt in the head back in September.
Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department say on September 2 around 10 p.m., Kasey Gray, 24, entered the home he shares with his aunt on Madison Avenue and fired a single shot from a 380 caliber pistol, hitting the victim in the left side of the head.
The woman survived, but sustained serious injuries. Detective spoke with the woman at the hospital and showed her a photograph of Gray. She was asked if Gray was the person who shot her. Due to her condition, she was unable to speak, but was able to answer yes and no questions by nodding and shaking her head.
The victim identified Gray as the person who shot her, officials say.
Gray was arrested on Thursday, December 21. He is charged with attempted second degree murder.
