PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) - Two more students have been charged in connection with a picture that was made to look like a gun threat at a school in Plaquemine last week.
Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi said the photo made its way around Snapchat after an 8th grader at MSA West took a photo of himself holding his dad's guns.
The student, whose identity is being protected because he is a minor, told investigators he took the selfie but did not write the captions on it.
He was charged with terrorism for his part.
The sheriff said the two students who allegedly added the two lines of text have been charged with disturbing the peace by alarming the public.
All three have been released to their parents but still face disciplinary action, which will be determined by the school board.
