Sheriff Daniel Edwards said this "crew" broke into vehicles in Tangipahoa, Livingston, and St. Tammany parishes over the past two weeks.

Officials said a homeowner contacted the sheriff's office Tuesday around 2:30 a.m. to report several people "creeping around" in Jefferson Court subdivision in Ponchatoula and pulling on car doors. They added deputies were able to track down four suspects and their vehicle, a silver four-door Hyundai Sonata, a few minutes later. Investigators said Smith, Guidroz, Knight, and the 16-year-old were in the car. They added stolen items, including some from St. Tammany Parish, were found inside the car.

Deputies said detectives were later able to get search warrants for two homes on Harvey Lavigne Road in Ponchatoula. They added a search of the homes turned up stolen items such as a gun, laptop, and other items. They reported drug paraphernalia was also found. They added Scarbrough and Stewart were inside one of the homes. The pair was arrested on drug charges.

Investigators reported they were later able to connect Daughtery to the crimes.

Smith is charged with one count of attempted vehicle burglary, two counts of vehicle burglary, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of MDMA.

Guidroz is charged with one count attempted vehicle burglary, seven counts of vehicle burglary, and has a hold from the St. Tammany Parish and Livingston Parish sheriff's offices.
