Brandon Coleman lost two fumbles inside the Jets 30-yard line. Drew Brees threw an interception inside the Saints own 20. The Black and Gold lost offensive guard Larry Warford with a concussion right before half. All off these negatives, and the Saints still beat the Jets, 31-19.

The Jets came into the contest with a 5-8 record, and played without their starting quarterback. A weakened New York squad no doubt helped out with the final outcome.

Brees went 25-of-35 passing for 280 yards passing, two touchdowns, one interception. Running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara combined for 240 yards of total offense.

The Saints (10-4) hit the end zone first in the contest with a 1-yard touchdown run by Ingram. His stroll to paydirt gave the Black and Gold a 10-0 advantage. Ingram also scored a 50-yard touchdown late in the game. His second score put the Saints up 31-19.

Not to be outdone by his running mate, Kamara scored on a 10-yard touchdown reception, extending the Saints lead to 17-7.

The score to put the game on ice, came courtesy of a Brees-to-Michael Thomas 4-yard touchdown. The touchdown connection put the lead to double digits, 24-13.

The Jets (5-9) touchdowns came on a Bilal Powell 2-yard score, and a Bryce Petty to Elijah McGuire 2-yard touchdown. McGuire attended Vandebilt Catholic in Houma.
