The Saints 20-17 defeat at the hands of the Falcons no doubt hurt. But in terms of the playoffs, the Saints are still in good shape.

The Jets (5-8) come in town this week with a backup quarterback under center, Bryce Petty. The inexperience will show with a relentless Saints defense ready to bear down.

After the Jets, the Saints host Atlanta, then hit the road for Tampa. All three very winnable contest.

"I live by the motto, you only worry about the things you can control. So what we control is right here in front of us, or preparation for this week and this game. It just happens to be we also control our own destiny in regards to where we end up at the end of the day. We keep winning, all of our hopes and dreams are alive," said quarterback Drew Brees.

The current NFC playoff picture looks like this:

1.) Philadelphia 11-2

2.) Minnesota 10-3

3.) Los Angeles Rams 9-4

4.) New Orleans 9-4

5.) Carolina 9-4

6.) Atlanta 8-5
