In this edition of FFF I say make NFL games on Thursday extinct, World Cup excitement is not a thing in America, and my stop at Atomic Burger.

FOOTBALL

Thursday NFL games need to end like right now. Just cancel the rest of them in 2017. You want to know why?

Alvin Kamara, A.J. Klein, Kenny Vaccaro, Senio Kelemete. All left the Saints-Falcons game with injuries, never to return.

The body can't handle this much pounding in such a short period of time. The quality of play in these Thursday games has been lacking all season.

It's just bad, bad, bad for all involved. Saints quarterback Drew Brees agrees.

"It's a 100 percent a product of playing on Thursday night. You understand what guys bodies go through in a game, and have to turn around and play four days later in a game. Look at the injury studies, they're off the charts. Is this smart when it pertains to guys healthy and safety? No, absolutely not," said Brees.

I love football on all the time, but I'm good with prep on Friday, college on Saturday, and NFL Sunday-Monday. Let's make it happen owners

FÚTBOL

In the least shocking news of the week, the U.S. television audience took a nosedive for the World Cup drawing a week ago. Fox's FS1 averaged 65,000 viewers for the draw, down 87 percent from a record average of 489,000 for the 2014 draw televised by ESPN2.

Simple reason why, no U.S.A. I watch the proceedings every four years, and I had ZERO interest in the event.

Now I'm intrigued to see the numbers next summer for the World Cup with no U.S.A. I'll watch, but will the masses tune in.

FOOD

I'm a HUGE fan of the burgers at Company Burger, Port of Call, and Bud's Broiler. Company and Bud's I hit more frequently because of convenience. I don't hit Port of Call as much because I don't like crowds, and waiting for my burgers. Feed me now!

A few people told me they adored Atomic Burger in Metairie, so I gave it a chance. It was fine, nothing that blew me away. It's not worth a 20-minute trip for above-average burger.

I'm sticking with my BIG THREE.
