(WVUE) -

What a difference 48-hours made for DeMarcus Cousins! On Monday, the Pelicans big man was getting sent to the showers early with his second technical foul. On Wednesday, the Cousins was dominating on the court, pouring in 40-points and grabbing 22-rebounds in New Orleans' 123-114 win over the Denver Nuggets.

Jrue Holiday scored 27 points and E'Twaun Moore had 14 for New Orleans, which shot 53.5 percent and was playing without Anthony Davis for the third straight game.

The win bumped the Pelicans record back above 500 at 13-12. And they'll continue their home stand Friday night against Sacramento.
