BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A donation drive, called Deaux-Nate for a Deaux-Nut, raised $8,000 in eight days for Deputy Nick Tullier's continued recovery from his injuries sustained during the ambush attack on July 17, 2016.

On Friday, July 21, Shea Family Dentistry presented the $8,000 check to East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux and a member of Tullier's family.

For two weeks the business gave away free donuts and coffee to anyone who made a donation toward Deputy Tullier's recovery. The doughnuts were provided by Tiger Deaux-nuts and the coffee was provided by River Roads Coffee.

Tullier is still undergoing rehabilitation at a hospital in Houston.
