WANTED: Police seeking man who allegedly robbed Family Dollar on Plank Rd.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department are investigating a robbery that reportedly occurred at the Family Dollar on Plank Rd. Thursday afternoon.

Officials say the incident happened around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at the Family Dollar located at 3887 Plank Rd. 

The suspect reportedly approached the front counter with merchandise, posing as a customer. Officials say as the employee completed the checkout, the suspect reach across the counter and snatched an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. Along with the money, the suspect also reportedly took the merchandise and left the store. The employee reported never seeing a weapon.

No injuries were reported in this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male 6' 2" tall, weighing around 230lbs, with medium complexion, a muscular build, and no hair.
