Derek Barnett: 'It would be fun to team up with Cam Jordan'

Many mock drafts, including FOX 8's Sean Fazende, predict the Saints will take Tennessee defensive end Derek Barnett. The sack artist welcomes playing opposite Cam Jordan in the Crescent City.

"I think it would be very fun, and very exciting. While I was training with Mark Ingram, all he could say was great things about the city, and the team. The sounds of it, it would be very fun to team up with Cam Jordan," said former Tennessee defensive end Derek Barnett.

Earlier in the week, the Saints addressed another position of need, the running back position. Even with the addition of Adrian Peterson to the squad, the Saints might not be done when it comes to adding running backs. A talent rich draft at the spot could be too enticing for the Black and Gold to pass up.

"I thought they needed a third down change of pace guy, explosive back," said NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock. "Peterson, and the guys they have now are the downhill tough guys. I thought all along, whether it was a (Christian) McCaffery at 11, (Alvin) Kamara at 32, a Tariq Cohen in the fourth round. I thought all along, a third down, change of pace weapon would help New Orleans. I'm not sure where it's going to happen, but I think they have to pull the trigger. Sean (Payton) likes those kind of guys, very much."
