BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An LSU offensive lineman has been arrested on a burglary charge, officials said.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported Adrian Magee, 20, of Franklinton, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Wednesday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said he is accused of breaking into an apartment.
According to EBRSO, Magee is charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Officials said he was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
Head coach Ed Orgeron said Wednesday that Magee was indefinitely suspended from the team for violation of team rules after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Magee, who is a sophomore, played in three games in 2016 as a redshirt freshman.
According to BRPD, the victim returned home to his apartment just before midnight on April 1 to find the front door had been forced open. The victim reportedly said he was missing some electronics and cash.
The victim reportedly also claimed that while he was looking around his apartment, Magee appeared in the doorway and asked if he had been burglarized.
According to the probable cause report, the victim said he immediately recognized Magee because he is an LSU fan and because Magee was wearing his jersey.
The victim also reportedly said he then told Magee he was going to look at his security footage to see who broke into his apartment and at that time, Magee walked out and then returned with some of the victim's belongings.
In the report, the victim claims the following items were stolen:
- Xbox gaming console
- Six Xbox games
- Gucci flip flops
- Onyx bluetooth speaker
- $1,200 in cash
The report stated the victim said he does not know Magee personally, but knows him as a player on LSU's football team.
