BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A contractor accused of accepting money from a homeowner for a project and not completing it was arrested Monday, according to investigators.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported David Carrell, 46, of St. Gabriel, was hired to demolish a home in Baton Rouge.
According to the warrant, the victim paid Carrell an initial payment and then more money for a dump truck.
The warrant stated since then, the victim has not been able to reach Carrell and the project was not finished.
Carrell is charged with residential contract fraud and felony theft. His bond is set at $30,000.
