BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The McMains Children's Developmental Center is inviting people to get an intimate view of how it serves the community.
MCDC will host its fourth annual Sips & Suds Champagne and Beer Stroll fundraiser on Thursday, April 27, on the Center's grounds at 1805 College Dr.
The stroll will feature unique food and drink pairings from a variety of local restaurants and caterers. Live music will be provided by New Orleans-based band Casey Saba & The Beanstalks.
Festivities for the evening will also include a wine pull, raffle, experience auction, and the opportunity to tour the center to learn about its therapies and programs.
"Once you hear our stories, see the smiles and determination of our kids, and feel the impact of our work, you can't help but want to be a part of the exciting growth to come in our future," Executive Director Anne Hindrichs said.
The MCDC's mission is to advance the quality of life for children with disabilities and their families by providing physical, developmental, academic, and communication services. MCDC provides children with disabilities the core services of speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy and wraps those with social work, psychological services, and family programs.
