BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - NFL legend Randy Moss is now an LSU fan.
That's because LSU landed a major commitment from his son, North Carolina State tight end Thaddeus Moss on Sunday.
Aside from being the son of one of the greats, Moss is a state champion in North Carolina, and signed with NC State head coach Dave Doeren in 2016 as a three-star prospect, a top-20 recruit in the state, and the No. 18-ranked tight end in the country.
However, after starting three games and catching six passes for 49 yards last season, the 6-foot-4, 240-pounder announced he was transferring to "better my opportunities for the future."
The Tigers came into the 2018 recruiting cycle in major need of a tight end, and Moss is a much needed addition to the class.
