BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

NFL legend Randy Moss is now an LSU fan.

That’s because LSU landed a major commitment from his son, North Carolina State tight end Thaddeus Moss on Sunday.

Aside from being the son of one of the greats, Moss is a state champion in North Carolina, and signed with NC State head coach Dave Doeren in 2016 as a three-star prospect, a top-20 recruit in the state, and the No. 18-ranked tight end in the country.

However, after starting three games and catching six passes for 49 yards last season, the 6-foot-4, 240-pounder announced he was transferring to “better my opportunities for the future.”

The Tigers came into the 2018 recruiting cycle in major need of a tight end, and Moss is a much needed addition to the class.

Moss became the fourth public commitment for LSU this weekend, after arriving in Baton Rouge Friday and staying through Sunday and attending the spring game.
