BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - United States Senator Bill Cassidy is weighing in on the ongoing feud between Governor John Bel Edwards and Congressman Garret Graves.
The two leaders have been locked in a debate over federal flood relief money that some fear could be hurting the state's chances of getting even more help.
"I can't say it's hurting, but it's clearly not helping. It's effect will only be known if we see if we get additional dollars, but we'll have a united front," said Cassidy.
Right now, flood victims must fill out a short, 15-minute survey. That's before the governor's office hands out applications for the $1.6 billion in flood aid.
