BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A free two-day event will help flood victims gain the one thing that can't be replaced – family photos.
Operation Photo Rescue will set up shop at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library on Friday, April 21 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Participants can have up to 20 flood-damaged photos scanned and digitally restored to "as close to pre-disaster quality as possible."
"Experienced volunteers from Operation Photo Rescue will be available to help you recapture your memories and answer any questions you may have about recovering damaged images," states a press release. "You will take home the originals and the restored prints will be sent to your address within six to 12 months."
