LABADIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Two people are behind bars in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in Assumption Parish.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office reported Marquell Jamison, 18, of Napoleonville, and a 16-year-old are accused of breaking into vehicles in parts of Labadieville on April 11.
Sheriff Leland Falcon said deputies responded to a shooting in Labadieville that day and collected evidence that connected it to the vehicle burglaries.
He added detectives arrested the 16-year-old on April 11 on seven counts of simple burglary and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. He was booked into a juvenile facility. His name was not released because of his age.
According to Falcon, Jamison was arrested Tuesday on seven counts of simple burglary. Bond has not been set.
Falcon noted many of the items reported stolen have been found.
