YOUR TURN: Council on Aging Vote

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - This week's Your Turn segment goes to Renee Story.

Story and others went to our Facebook page Thursday to complain about East Baton Rouge Metro Council members walking out of a meeting when a vote did not go their way. The dispute was over deferring a new tax pending the outcome of an audit of the Council on Aging.

Most of the Facebook comments were supportive of the council members who voted for the delay. Story seems to agree. In her words:

So, council members are acting like toddlers because they didn't get their way? People need to make note and vote accordingly. All that hubbub because the rest of the council wanted to defer throwing more money at an organization that is currently being audited for misuse of the funds they have by sending out those mailers?

That's Renee Story's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, visit us on Facebook or send an email to
