Four women arrested as part of Baton Rouge prostitution sting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Four women were arrested Wednesday, April 12 as part of prostitution sting throughout Baton Rouge.

An undercover operation was conducted by East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office agents with the intent of targeting prostitutes. Undercover agents met the women at the specified locations and made contact with the suspects.

Whitney Cloud, 21, was arrested at a motel on S Acadian Thwy. around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday evening. She is charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana after undercover agents say they discovered a marijuana cigarette in plain sight on the night stand in the motel room.

Antovia Stout, 24, was arrested at a motel on Bluebonnet Blvd. around 8 p.m. the same night. She is charged with prostitution.

Two other women, known as "Paris" and "Layla," were offering a two-girl special on a social media website. According to the probable cause report, the undercover agent agreed to meet both women at a hotel. Upon arrival, the undercover agent walked with the two women to a room, and after they agreed to have sexual intercourse with him for $150 each, he gave the signal for SWAT to enter the room.

One of the women, identified as Zikiya Taylor, 27, was found to be in possession of a clear bag containing suspected heroin, officials say. She is charged with prostitution and possession of schedule I narcotics.

Agents then made contact with another woman, who was driving the vehicle Taylor and "Paris" arrived in. She was identified as Fanta Maloid, 37. She was read her Miranda rights and, officers say she told them she brought "Paris" and Taylor to the hotel to engage in prostitution. Maloid told WAFB-TV she has known the two women since they were little girls and they stopped her at a gas station to ask for a ride to the motel to pick up some of their things. She says she had no idea that anything illegal was allegedly taking place. At the time of her arrest, Maloid was awaiting trial for a 2015 arrest for possession for synthetic marijuana.

All four women were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
