BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A contractor charged with many counts of fraud in multiple parishes is heading back to Baton Rouge to face additional charges.
Matthew Morris, 39, of Baton Rouge, will be booked in East Baton Rouge Parish on the following new charges:
- Theft (over $750)
- Filing or maintaining false public records
- Prohibited activities and sanctions (insurance fraud)
- Engaging in business of contracting without authority
Morris is accused of ripping off a homeowner who is a victim of the August floods. He is currently jailed in Livingston Parish.
Morris is the owner of Complete Construction Contractors.
