WANTED: Armed robbery suspect grabbed Circle K employee from parking lot

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Detectives need your help identifying a man who robbed a Circle K employee at gunpoint.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, the robbery happened at the Siegen Lane location at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5.

"According to reports, the clerk went outside to a nearby vehicle to retrieve a jacket prior to conducting the cooler inventory for the night," states a press release. "While walking back into the store, a black male ran in the clerk's direction with a firearm pointed at the victim. The suspect stated, 'give me all the money.' The suspect then grabbed the store clerk by the right shoulder and forced his way into the store at gunpoint."

The robber managed to get an undisclosed amount of cash and got away before deputies arrived.

The suspect is described as being in his early 20's, approximately 5'8" with a thin build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a white T-shirt wrapped around his face. He was also wearing black sunglasses and blue gloves. He had a duffel bag and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
