According to the probable cause report submitted by the Southern University Police Department, an investigation was launched for Eric Breaud, who worked at the university as a foreman/electrician since 2012.

The report states that between October 20, 2016 and December 30, 2016, Breaud made purchases of electrical equipment from Notoco Industries LLC. The problem is that the purchases were allegedly used for his personal gain and were not approved by university staff.
