LSU leads the overall series with Grambling, 6-0, in a series that began in 2009. All six meetings between the teams have occurred in Baton Rouge. Last season, LSU posted a 14-11 win over Grambling on April 13.

Coach Paul Manieri said freshman right-hander Todd Peterson (1-1, 5.68 ERA) will make his second career start on the mound Tuesday. Peterson will likely have a very short outing, however, as Mainieri said he plans to use several pitchers Tuesday night in preparation for the series at Arkansas.
