TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Four people are behind bars after deputies say they found drugs and stolen guns at a home in Amite.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, the arrests were part of a collaborative effort involving the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office. The search happened on March 28 at the home of Ryan Hickey, 39, who is described as a "well-known figure" to law enforcement.
During the search of the home, officials say detectives found two stolen firearms, an AK-47, drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. Hickey was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm, and convicted felon in possession of firearm.
Also arrested were Garrett Hopwood, 22, Donnie Clint "CJ" Johnson, 26, and William Maher, 36.
