BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man wanted for a shooting that wounded a man back in January was arrested on Friday, according to an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office report.
The report states that 24-year-old "Big Boy" Irvon McKay pulled up to the victim's house, got out of his car with a long gun in his hands, and yelled "Where's my money?". McKay shot the victim one time and fled the scene.
McKay's girlfriend then came forward, identifying McKay as the shooter, saying he was using her vehicle during that time.
During the investigation, deputies learned that McKay had pleaded guilty to simple robbery on July 17, 2012, and was not allowed to own a gun as a convicted felon.
His whereabouts had been unknown since January, but was located and arrested on Friday, March 31, for attempted second degree murder, illegal use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
