Police say teen shot man for inappropriate touching

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man who was shot in the head is accused of sexually assaulting the suspected shooter, according to investigators.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Germorius Ferguson, 20, is accused of touching a teen boy inappropriately.

According to the arrest warrant, a 14-year-old accused of attempted murder explained in handwritten notes to an investigator that "he was about to be sexually assaulted" by Ferguson.

The report stated Ferguson allegedly touched the boy in an inappropriate way.

"… he [the teen] then pulled a .22 gun out of his backpack and shot the Defendant in the back of the head," the warrant stated.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, Ferguson was booked on a charge of sexual battery and has since been released.

Bond information was not provided.

It is unknown if the teen was charged in the shooting.
