BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A 15-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 in the 2300 block of Jefferson Ave. near N 23rd St.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle was driving westbound and there was a stopped vehicle in the eastbound lane. As the driver was passing the spot where the vehicle was stopped, the teen moved into the oncoming lane to pass the stopped vehicle.
Officials say the teen suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital by emergency crews.
The teen is considered at fault for the crash. No citations were issued.
