BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man was arrested for allegedly being in possession of child pornography.
Benjamin Darouse, 39, was arrested during a joint investigation between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Louisiana State Police.
"We are committed to using every tool we have to aggressively pursue child predators," said Attorney General Jeff Landry, whose office announced the arrest. "Our office remains dedicated to investigating and arresting those who exploit children."
Darouse is charged with four counts of sexual abuse images and/or videos of children. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on March 17. Jail records show that he was released on March 22.
