BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - You can't describe in words how much it hurts to go to the Facebook page of Shawn Anderson and look at the photo of and him and his young children, or to see the video of him holding the infant Declan Walsh, a baby he helped deliver because Declan's parents could not make it to the hospital in time.
The family members, friends, and coworkers of East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Sgt. Shawn Anderson will never have to wonder if he made a difference in the lives of others.
The evidence is all around us. His life was one of service to community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sgt. Anderson's family. We must never take for granted the sacrifices that those in law enforcement, and their families, make to preserve our safety and security.
That's "Our Turn." Now, it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, visit us on Facebook or send an email to email@example.com.
