BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Fresh off its sweep of the SEC regular season title and SEC Championship in Jacksonville, Florida, the No. 2 nationally ranked LSU gymnastics team learned where it will be heading for the NCAA Regional gymnastics meets.
The Tigers head off to Lincoln, Nebraska on April 1 for one of six regional gymnastics meets to determine which teams will compete in St. Louis at the NCAA Championship meet. Six teams will compete at each regional site with the top two scores from each advancing to the national championship meet.
Also in LSU's regional meet are: No. 11 Boise State, No. 14 Nebraska (regional host), Arizona, Iowa State and Minnesota.
The 12 teams that advance from the regionals will compete in the NCAA Semifinals on Friday, April 14 and the top three teams from each semifinal will advance to the Super Six on Saturday, April 15.
The winner of the Super Six is crowned National Champion.
LSU finished runner-up in last year's Super Six to Oklahoma, which is the top seed in 2017.
