DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

The "Big Red" custom BBQ trailer reported stolen from the Rouses parking lot in Donaldsonville last week has been recovered.

Rouses reported Thursday that the trailer, which was stolen back on March 6, has been recovered with the assistance of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office.

The trailer was located in Alvin, Texas, about an hour south of Houston, on Tuesday, March 14. A suspect was arrested by APSO and told authorities where to find the trailer.

"Big Red" is a familiar sight to many residents and makes appearances at area festivals. "She travels all over the Gulf Coast. She even has her own fan club," said Donny Rouse, CEO of Rouses Markets.

Rouse will be hosting a cookout soon for the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office as a thank you for assisting in the case. As a reward for customers who shared "Big Red's" wanted poster on Facebook, Rouses is giving away $100 gift cards.

"Our customers were on the case. That wanted poster was shared over 50,000 times," said Rouse.

Customers can enter for a chance to win a gift card on the Rouses Market Facebook page.
