Nine arrested in Ascension Parish on multiple drug charges

ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office narcotics detectives, along with U.S. Marshals, arrested nine people on multiple drug charges on Monday, March 13.

An arrest warrant for Joseph Babin, 31, was executed Monday. Babin was wanted on second degree cruelty to juvenile charges. According to Sheriff Jeff Wiley, deputies arrested Babin at his home in Gonzales, where they also discovered an assortment of illegal narcotics. Detectives then executed a search warrant of the home, where they seized a quantity of marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and several weapons.

Nine people were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of psilocybin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The following arrests were made:

  • Joseph Babin, 31, of Gonzales
  • Emmanual Castillo, 32, of Gonzales
  • Steven Harris, 30, of Gonzales
  • Mathew Lambert, 29, of Prairieville
  • Justin Landry, 30, of Gonzales
  • Michael Millien, 31, of Prairieville
  • Casey Scott, 19, of Prairieville
  • Morgan Sullivan, 21, of Prairieville
  • Sarah Tarrow, 22, of St. Amant

All nine people were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and are awaiting bond.
