March 11 marks year anniversary of flooding

(WAFB) - With thousands of people's lives thrown off track by the record flooding in August 2016, it can be easy to forget about the much smaller flood from last March.

Around two dozen parishes were declared federal disaster areas after the flooding.

That flood impacted many residents in East Baton Rouge, Livingston, and Tangipahoa Parishes, among other areas.

In Tangipahoa Parish, more than 500 people had to be rescued from their homes.
