NEW ROADS, LA (WAFB) - One of Louisiana's largest car shows will once again be held in downtown New Roads on Saturday, March 18.
The 8th Annual Spring Street Festival and Car Show will feature a wide variety of antique cars, trucks, and motorcycles, as well as a large array of icon models. The free festival will be held along Main St. along False River from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be many shopping opportunities and food vendors.
"Each year, this event feature hundreds of cars and thousands of people for a day of fun and nostalgia. The event continues to grow and gain in popularity each year," said Mayor Robert Myer.
More than 100 awards will be presented to registered participants at the festival. In addition to the Best Engine and Best Interior awards, the city will also present awards for the Top 50, Sponsor's Choice, Best Car, Best Truck, Longest Haul, and Best in Show.
"We have a wonderfully diverse group of people who participate in our festival. They love their cars and they love to show them off, and the people who visit really appreciate them," said Myer.
Car, truck, and motorcycle owners can still register to participate in the show. Advance vehicle registrations are $25 each and can be made by calling the New Roads City Hall at 225-638-5360. Owners can also register the day of the show for $35.
