BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - This weekend marks the second Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital Amazing Half Marathon.

The event features two days of races, from a 5k to a half marathon. The goal is to teach families healthy habits and show them how to get active. It also helps to raise money for the freestanding children's hospital.

"This really is a race where kids are the main focus, and so while we do have a half marathon and 10k where adults will run, we also have kids run," said Trey Williams, marketing director for Our Lady of the Lake.

The 5k race was held Saturday morning. The big races, the 10k and half marathon, will be held on Sunday, March 12. For those wishing to participate, there are still openings for the half marathon.
