BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - More than 100 people have applied to be the next chief administrative officer under Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome.
The job is key in parish government, as it oversees day-to-day operations of parish departments.
Documents show less than half of the applicants for the job are actually from East Baton Rouge Parish.
The mayor's spokeswoman said she has interviewed about 10 candidates for the position so far.
William Daniel held it under former Mayor Kip Holden and has stayed on as interim until a replacement is found.
