CRIME STOPPERS: Tipster helps identify suspect wanted in deadly shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police have now identified a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting in January thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip.

Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers said Allen Turner Jr. 27, is wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department.

He is 5'11" tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Turner is accused of shooting Devin Johnese, 35, on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and North 23rd Street on January 20.

Police reported Johnese died several days later. They added Turner was identified through a tip to Crime Stoppers after still images of video footage from a nearby business were released on the news.

Turner faces a charge of second-degree murder.
